Basketball is BACK at APR!

Basketball is BACK at APR!

After missing their last season due to the pandemic, this season the Boys Varsity Basketball team finished with a 15-3 record. Being number 1 in the Manhattan northwest division. Not only making the playoffs, but also making the Borough Playoffs as well. The Boys JV team finished with an 11-0 record clinching a playoff birth as well. The Basketball program, as a whole has, made complete resurgence coming off a long lay-off. They have established themselves as one of the top teams in the Borough and City, and created a strong core of young players that will help take the program to the next level.

Top performers this season is Senior Tuwan Ellison averaging 17 points 7 rebounds and 4 assist. His leadership outside of the stat sheet is the reason for such a successful season. For Boys JV, Isaiah Gonzalez averaging 30 points per game and Muztaba Barry averaging 14 points, 10 assist, and 10 rebounds.

The Basketball program is actively recruiting future cougars with their "Cougar Camp" and has established themselves in the community as a nice landing place for young local ballers.

The school and community are so proud that Basketball has returned to Randolph. The gym filled with students on game day provides an amazing positive atmosphere; filled with joy and community.
