Varsity Football Defeats Petrides HS 46 -0
On Saturday (09/24/22), the AP Randolph Varsity Football team cruised past Petrides 46-0 in their first league game of the season.
In what felt like a perfect Autumn afternoon, the Cougars made their presence known. On the field they were dominant, and the sidelines and stands were flooded with Randolph Pride.
The Cheerleading team kept the spirits high, and the families and faculty of Randolph took over the stands.
Some highlights from the game include:
Senior QB Nathaniel Nurse threw 3 touchdown passes, 2 of which went to Senior Siba Aboudoulaye. Junior Yomar Perez-Peralta added 2 more touchdowns (1 rushing, 1 receiving).
Senior Lineman Patrick Tackie dominated the line of scrimmage with 6 tackles, 3 for loss, and 1 sack.
Senior Ezekiel Gonell caught a touchdown pass from Junior QB Jaden Haly, and also added two safety's on defense.
Junior QB Jaden Haly ran for 100 yards, went 6 for 6 on extra points, and accounted for two touchdowns.
The Cougars take on Springfield Gardens on Sunday, October 2nd, @ Springfield Gardens HS at 11:00am for their next league game.
