Peer Group Connection (PGC) Retreat
The Peer Group Connection (PGC) class held their first retreat since Covid-19 this past weekend at the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC).
During the retreat, the Peer Leaders from the Class of 2023 were led through a series of team building, social emotional learning, and leadership experiences with the Adult PGC Faculty.
These exercises are meant to prepare them for the mentoring work that begins in October with the Class of 2026.
Starting in October the PGC Peer Leaders will push into Physical Education Classes once a week and facilitate many of the same experiences they experienced during the retreat.
The Class of 2023 work in pairs and each support a small group of members of the Class of 2026.
These experiences are supported by our Adult PGC Faculty and the Physical Education Team but led by the Peer Leaders.
Thank you to our Peer Group Connection adult leaders who gave up this past weekend to make this experience possible: Veronica Perdomo, Amin Perdomo, Gavin Sukhai, and Carolina Caro ‘19
Thank you in advance to the Physical Education Faculty for making room for this important work within your curriculum.
