Varsity Football Defeats Frank J. Macchiarola HS 36-22
The AP Randolph Varsity Football team came out slow on Saturday as they came from behind down 14-0 to eventually beating FJM (formerly Sheepshead Bay) with a 36-22 Final.
The team stuck together, battled back, and proved why they are one of the best teams in the entire city.
Some highlights from the game include:
Senior Siba Aboudoulaye provided the spark that Randolph needed by throwing a touchdown right before halftime on a trick play to cut the lead to 14-7.
Siba then returned the second half kickoff back for an 85-yard touchdown to get Randolph back on top.
Senior Zahill Campbell was the work horse as he rushed 21 times for 200 yards and scored 3 total touchdowns.
Senior Nathaniel Nurse connected with Siba on a 15-yard touchdown pass to put Randolph up 30-22 early in the 4th quarter and they never looked back.
It was an overall team win as Randolph now remains undefeated in League play heading into the final two weeks of the regular season.
A huge shout out to the Randolph Cheerleaders led by Coach Fletcher as they performed incredibly from start to finish.
The Cheer Team even celebrated by having a "cheer-off" vs the Truman Cheerleaders who were warming up for the game after.
Yasmeen Folowiyo, Rosangeli Osoria (both captains), Jayla Cooper and Mable Valentin nailed their toe touch lift twice (see below)
Randolph travels to Lafayette Educational Campus in Brooklyn on Sunday November 6th 12 noon for their next game.
