Girls Varsity Tennis Advances to Second Round of Playoffs
The Girl's Varsity Tennis Team won their playoff match yesterday vs. LIC at Inwood Park Tennis Courts.
The team won a close battle 3-2 with a clincher by junior Tamara Smith at 3rd singles.
The team has now advanced to the next round of top 16 teams in the Playoffs.
1st Singles Afiah Acheampong gave great effort.
2nd Singles Reem Elfaki gave great effort.
3rd Singles clinching Win from Tamara Smith: 8-5.
1st Doubles Win from Natty Baonongbua & Y Vo: 8-1
2nd Doubles Win from Nana Ama Sam & Yhaiqui Morales: 8-2
The Cougars continue their playoff run today 10/24/23 at Springfield Gardens High School in Queens.
