APRCHS Girl’s Varsity Basketball Senior Night 02/05/24

The following message is sent on behalf of Coach Michelle Pulido:

“I want to send out a big congratulations to the Girls Varsity Basketball team.  The girls pulled off an amazing comeback at the end of the season winning their last 4 games. They also were able fight back from an 18-point deficit to seal their last victory of the season this past Monday night against Democracy Prep with a final score of 62 to 61.  This ability to focus on their goal regardless of the score or situation is what has made this team so special this year.

A special shout out to Jasmine Pena and Skye Viruet who scored 26 points each at Monday night's game.

We also honored Skye Viruet and Anija Dukes who are our graduating seniors.  For the past two years they contributed more than just basketball to our team.  Skye became a dedicated and focused leader and was always ready to do whatever necessary to help her team.  She has been the true anchor of this team and we will miss her immensely.

Anija Dukes started on this team last year as a brand-new player and became one of the most important rebounders and defensive players we have. She out hustles everyone on the court which comes from her drive to give everything she does 100%.

We also want to thank Coach Gonzalez who provided endless guidance to our team on a daily basis.

And lastly, a big thank you to all Randolph teachers for all the support you gave our girls throughout the season.  Especially for the freshmen, balancing sports and grades is not always easy.  Many teachers helped the freshmen girls stay on track and not miss out on being part of a team.

We are looking forward to next season and your continued love and support!”
