As you might of heard on yesterday’s morning announcements the NHS team is collecting canned and dry packaged food to donate to the Iris House Food Pantry. The Iris House Food Pantry is locally based (literally a few steps away from us) and serves families affected by HIV. Every year NHS walks in the AID’s Walk in Central Park but this year we are challenging ourselves to do more for this community. The President of NHS Rosa Olguin found this amazing Food Pantry and we would like your help to make our donation as generous as possible. As you can see below I already brought in some goodies today. Saturdays in my house growing up were days of cleaning, so if you practice this Saturday Tradition in your home I ask that you look through your pantry and if there is anything you would like to donate please put it aside and drop it off in my office room 104. You can also buy items and bring them in if you please, I recommend looking through your circular as many super markets put good sales for canned and dry products that won’t hurt the bank. Thank you all for your time and thanks in advance for your contribution and support in making this a successful Food Drive.
